The Phil Collins Experience is a multimedia tribute to Phil Collins and Genesis, one of the most celebrated, and commercially successful groups in history, with between 100 and 150 million albums sold throughout the world.
Genesis formed in 1967 in Surrey. Its most noted and longest-lasting line-up comprised guitarist/ bassist Mike Rutherford, keyboardist Tony Banks, and singer/drummer Phil Collins. In 1988, the band received the Grammy for Best Concept Music Video for their “Land of Confusion” video, one of only two awards made in this short-lived category.
Living up to the legacy of the original is difficult but the Phil Collins Experience has won praise as the most authentic Genesis/Phil Collins tribute. Their performances recreate the excitement of the original performances, including hits like “Sussudio” and “In the Air Tonight.”
The tribute band rests on the shoulders of Englishman Terry Adams Jr., their frontman. Adams, a talented drummer, closely resembles Collins both physically and in his performance style, leading KC Magazine to name him “Best Male Vocalist.” Adams has a 12-piece backing band, making every show a powerhouse. A review says:
“ . . . it truly felt like there was nothing this band couldn’t perfectly capture.”
The Phil Collins Experience will be at the Ludlow Garage on March 15. Organizers who book shows like this can use poster printing to create advertising for them.
