Tribute to a classic rocker coming to Cincinnati
Cincinnati fans will be able to enjoy the work of one of rock's biggest names soon.
Southern Accents, A Tribute to Tom Petty, is on the calendar for the new year. Seth Canan & The Carriers, as well as Flying Buffaloes, are also on the bill.
The late Tom Petty and his band, the Heartbreakers, have an impressive catalog of hits, including “You Wreck Me,” “Runnin' Down a Dream,” “Learning to Fly,” and “Free Fallin'.” An album of the band's biggest hits was certified by RIAA as 12x Platinum.
A review of a Heartbreakers' performance says the band plays “real rock n' roll,” played with “skill and precision.” The band first formed in Florida in 1976, and never looked back.
The tribute band Southern Accents has been called the best of the Petty tribute groups. One review says that
“Southern Accents, featuring some of Nashville's best musicians, but this ain't no Country band! They full-on ROCK!!"
Seth Canan & the Carriers is a rock band of three musicians from Covington, Ohio, and the Flying Buffaloes bring country and alternative rock with them from their home base in Nashville.
Southern Accents will appear January 4, 2020, at Bogart's, on Vine Street. The doors will open at 7:00 pm, with the show starting at 8:00 pm. The event is suitable for audiences of all agents, and limited ADA-compliant seating is available. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for events like this.
