Special weekend for horror fans

Fans of horror films and television productions have a weekend coming up just for them.

HorrorHound Weekend is coming to Cincinnati. Fans in attendance will have a chance to meet some of the genre's biggest stars, both those who are working today, and those whose past appearances have made them icons. Celebrities in attendance sign autographs, chat with fans, appear for photo-ops (sometimes there is a fee involved), and often participate in panel discussions.

In addition to meeting the stars, fans can also enjoy the vendors' room. More than 100 vendors will be on hand with items such as masks, Blu-ray and DVD discs, VHS tapes, Posters, T-Shirts, toys, and much more. Many of the vendors represent toy companies, filmmakers, DVD distributors, and studios.

During the event, new movies will be screened, and there is a costume contest as well. Special events like stage performances and concerts may also be on the schedule. Among the dozens of celebrities scheduled to appear are Robert Englund (“A Nightmare on Elm Street”); Adrienne Barbeau; and William Sadler.

The HorrorHound Weekend will be held at the Sharonville Convention Center, on March 20, 21, and 22. On the first day, the hours are 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm; on the second, from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm; and on the last, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Handouts can be created for attendees at events like this by using flyer printing.
