The Samples formed in 1987 in Boulder, Colorado, and took their name from the fact they survived by living on free food samples from a local market. The band went on their first national tour in 1988, playing mostly for college-age audiences, who were happy to help spread the word about the group. They released their debut album, “The Samples,” in 1989.
Like almost all groups, the lineup of The Samples has changed over the years, and they have at times considered disbanding. However, they have reunited several times, and their catalog includes twelve studio albums, a number of compilations, and five live albums. A review of the band says:
“Band still sounds amazing! Sean’s voice sounds like it hasn’t changed since the 90’s! This band has been around for so long you can tell they are in this because they love to play music to their fans!”
The band Frankly Speaking is also on the bill. They play dance music and classic rock in the style of Santana, Zappa, and blend progressive rock, the blues, and classic rock. Instrumental solos are a feature of the band's performances. Artists on their setlist include Aerosmith, Tom Petty, AC/DC, and Badfinger.
The concert is scheduled for March 12, 2021, at 8.00 pm, at Riverfront Live. Flyer printing can create handouts advertising events like this.
