Emilie Sunshine Hamilton, who goes by the stage name EmiSunshine, is a native of Tennessee who first gained attention when she posted her version of “Blue Yodel No. 6” by Jimmie Rodgers on YouTube. Her performance garnered more than one million views, and brought attention from Music Row, as well as The Today Show. She came to the notice of Rolling Stone magazine when she featured Holly Williams in the debut episode of her YouTube series, “Americana Corner.”
EmiSunshine was born in 2004, and despite her young age, she has already released six studio albums and two singles. Her breakthrough came with “Blue Yodel” when she was nine, and three years later, she appeared in a documentary about Elvis Presley, “The King.” She wrote two songs for the film, “Johnny June and Jesus,” and “Danny Ray,” which she also performed. The soundtrack received a Grammy nomination, and she has continued her prodigious songwriting efforts, often tackling difficult subjects such as autism.
A review says:
“Sunshine provides a fresh air of positivity and an adult like outlook on today's world and is able to capture those things in a song in a way where many people can relate.”
EmiSunshine will appear at Cincinnati's Ludlow Garage at 8:30 pm on February 27, 2021. Poster printing is frequently used when events such as this are scheduled.
