Audra McDonald is a six-time Tony winner. She’s won more Tony’s than anyone else and has won in all four categories for acting, the only performer to have done so. She has appeared in dramas, musicals, and operas, and also has two Grammys and an Emmy to her credit. President Barack Obama presented her with the National Medal of Arts and, in 2017, she was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame.
An operatic lyric soprano, she has appeared in staged operas with the Los Angeles Opera and the Houston Grand Opera, and in concerts with major ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic. She also maintains a busy recording and concert career, where she performs a repertoire that ranges from popular songs to jazz to grand opera.
She has appeared on television as Dr. Naomi Bennett in “Private Practice,” which ran on ABC from 2007 to 2011. In the show “The Good Wife,” she played Liz Lawrence, and continued the role in the series’ spinoff, “The Good Fight,” which won her three Critics’ Choice nominations. A review of a concert says:
“Audra makes every note and every word count; she raises an almost impossible bar for other singers.”
Audra McDonald will be at the Cincinnati Music Hall on Sunday, October 8. When events like this are planned, organizers can promote them by using poster printing to create attractive advertisements.
