Rocking concert planned in Cincinnati

An upcoming show in Cincinnati features three iconic bands.

Toto, Christopher Cross, and Men at Work are touring together, giving fans a concert they are sure to remember.

Toto offers a rich tapestry created by session musicians who decided to form their own group in Van Nuys, California, in 1977. They have sold over 35 million records worldwide, including “Toto IV,” their most successful album, which contained three Top Five hits: “Hold the Line,” “Rosanna,” and the iconic “Africa,” for which they are best known. The album won seven Grammys.

Christopher Cross got his start in rock rather than the smooth pop style he is now better known for. He played with Flash, a rock band based in San Antonio, before signing as a solo artist in 1978. In 1979, he released his self-titled debut album, which won five Grammys. Two songs from the album – “Sailing” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do”) from the 1981 film “Arthur” – both hit the No. 1 spot. “Sailing” won three Grammys, and “Arthur’s Theme” won an Oscar.

Men at Work started in 1979 in Melbourne, Australia as an acoustic duo, but expanded into a five-piece outfit, taking inspiration from The Police. They hit the mainstream in 1981 with “Business as Usual,” and in 1983, they won a Grammy as “Best New Band.”

The concert is set for Sunday, August 3 at the Riverbend Music Center. When they plan events like this, organizers can use poster printing methods to create colorful advertising.
