Two blues guitarists will appear soon in Cincinnati.
Eric Clapton and Jimmy Vaughn will be at the Heritage Bank Center on September 8, set to rock Cincinnati with some of the best blues guitar playing ever.
Eric Clapton is a legend in the music industry. His career now stretches back over six decades, from his early work with the Yardbirds and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, to his solo career. During his tenure with the Bluesbreakers, he proved to be one of the UK’s finest guitarists. He went on to join with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker in the supergroup Cream, which is one of the most influential in history, despite its short duration. Clapton’s style, rock heavily mixed with the Blues, became a signature sound of the 1960s. His solo career has been marked by collaborations with other artists such as JJ Cale and B.B. King. His hits include “After Midnight” and “Cocaine.”
Jimmy Vaughn is a native of Texas and is the older brother of Stevie Ray Vaughn. He began playing the guitar in front of audiences when he was in high school, and moved to Austin in the 1960s to pursue a career in music. He is a founding member of the band The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and has gone on to a successful solo career.
