Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants in Centerville will again be the location of a delicious wine pairing dinner.
The upcoming dinner is the “Flavors of Sicily,” and will feature wines that go well with Italian food. Dinners like this are fun, as well as an excellent way to learn about various wines.
This meal begins with an Italian La Dolce Vita spritz, followed by four courses. The first is Pane Rustico (rustic bread) served with olive oil and cracked black pepper for dipping. Next up is an arancini (rice balls) dish, Fennel Sausage Arancini, served with zucchini agrodolce, torn mint, stracciatella, and charred red onion. The wine is a Pino Gris.
The main course is Chicken Palermo. The dish comprises chicken breast, pesto, crushed potatoes, and roasted fennel and tomato. The wine is Terra del Vulcano, which is the restaurant’s March Wine of the Month. Vulcano is a red wine.
For dessert, the dish is a Flourless Chocolate Cannoli Cake. It is served with dark chocolate shavings, orange zest, and toasted pistachio ricotta cheese. The wine is a sweet Vin Chocolat.
The Flavors of Sicily dinner is March 11, from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm, and is for those 21 and over. The Cooper’s Hawk location in Centerville is at 5220 Cornerstone North Boulevard. When a special occasion like this is planned, organizers will often work with a printing company using flyer printing to create an attractive menu for the evening.
