The King to appear in Centerville
The King of Rock and Roll will make an appearance in Centerville soon.
The Centerville Sunday Series continues with a performance by the King himself, Elvis Presley, albeit in the person of Tyler Christopher. Christopher is an Elvis tribute artist who has won international recognition. He was only 16 when he began his professional career, after winning an Elvis competition, the largest in the Northeast United States.
His other accolades include being placed in the Top 5 Elvis artists in the world in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis’s birthplace. He has also ranked as one of the Top 3 Kings of Las Vegas, won first place in the Bluegrass Tribute to the King competition, and taken first place at the Indiana Elvis FANtasy Festival.
Elvis Presley Enterprises permitted Tyler to perform for three consecutive years at Elvis Night at the Great American Ballpark, the home of the Cincinnati Reds. He has also performed at venues throughout Memphis, including the Graceland Complex.
He has his own band, and frequently tours the Midwest. He recreates all stages of Elvis’s career, from his start in the 1950s to his Las Vegas superstardom.
The venue is the Sinclair Centerville Auditorium. Admission is free, and anyone who would like to attend should order tickets early. They guarantee admission until 6:40 pm, but after that, they are void and people can enter on a first-come first-served basis. The show is set for Sunday, September 21. Organizers planning shows like this can use poster printing to create advertising for them.
