Centerville announces start of music series

An annual tradition is returning to Centerville soon.

The city has just announced its schedule for the 2026 Summer Concert Series and Party in the Park events. The performances will be presented at the Stubbs Park Amphitheater, which has been improved recently, and the evenings are free for everyone to enjoy, both visitors and residents.

The upcoming performers include tribute bands, as well as a country rock band. Things get started with Hotel California: A Tribute to the Eagles, who began performing in 1986. They have been touring ever since, presenting material from throughout the Eagles’ extensive catalog.

Next up is a tribute to ELO, Turn to Stone. The band recreates ELO performances using a light show, live string section, and wearing the same type of clothing as the original group.

The fun continues with The Prince Project: A Prince and the Revolution Tribute Band, then McGuffey Lane – a country-rock outfit and the only group playing in June that is not a tribute band – takes the stage. June winds up with an appearance by Crush: The Bon Jovi Experience.

Hotel California appears June 7, Turn to Stone on June 12, The Prince Project on June 14, McGuffey Lane on June 21, and Crush on June 28. Events like this benefit from the publicity generated when poster printing is used to create advertising.
