Centerville conference puts health care first

The annual meeting of a local health care organization is coming up in Centerville.

The ACHCA District Chapter has scheduled the Ohio Chapter Leadership Summit & Annual Meeting. ACHCA is the American College of Health Care Administrators, a group that was established in 1962 by a group of gerontologists who understood that the profession would grow rapidly; it was known as the American College of Nursing Home Administrators. Over time, it expanded to include long-term care administrators, and the name reflected the change.

The upcoming event will give participants a chance to earn CEU (continuing education unit) credits, network with peers, and enjoy the event. The first day is for vendors to set up and attendees to check in, followed by happy hour, with dinner out.

The second day begins with registration, followed by breakfast with vendors, and then sessions presented by David Nora, Charles Angerbach, and Tammy Cassidy & Jennifer Napier. The day also includes a vendor appreciation lunch, breakout session, the annual meeting, wine and cheese, and a dinner and awards.

The final day comprises breakfast and sessions led by Deborah Veley, Leah Klusch, and Kenn Daily. Lunch is also provided.

The chapter meeting is set for February 26, 27, and 28 at the St. Leonard Community, located at 8200 Provincial Way in Centerville. Organizers can help events like this run smoothly by using flyer printing to create an agenda.
