Music in the park awaits in Centerville

The City of Centerville is inviting everyone to enjoy music outdoors.

Centerville recently announced its series of free concerts in Stubbs Park, with the upcoming performers slated to appear in July.

The Menus kick things off with their wide-ranging repertoire, which includes everything from funk to dance tunes. Founded in 1983, The Menus are one of the longest-running party bands in the Midwest.

The Bon Jovi tribute band Stranger and The Fries Band will be next, followed by a tribute to Billy Joel provided by the band Turnstiles.

Shawn Gerard appears next with a tribute to Garth Brooks, and then things move inside with the Centerville Pops! They will be playing a concert entitled “Let’s Go to the Movies.” The month winds up with Landslide, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

The concerts are free and open to everyone. Anyone who is planning on attending is welcome to bring their blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the performance in comfort. Food and beer will be available for sale, courtesy of local food trucks.

The Menus perform July 5, and Stranger and The Fries Band play July 10. Turnstiles are up on July 12, with Shawn Gerard appearing on July 19. The Centerville Pops play on July 24 and the month winds up with Landslide on July 26. Outdoor events like this can be even more festive if organizers use banner printing to create decorations for the venue.
