A favorite event is back on the schedule in Centerville.
The City of Centerville recently announced that the Centerville Fall Fest is returning. The fun takes place in Stubbs Park, and this year features longer hours, more activities for the entire family, and a concert in the evening to end the festival.
One of the changes is the expansion of the Kids Zone, which will have additional inflatables, and a new area for carnival games. The zone also includes family bingo, crafts, touch-a-tractor, a petting zoo, a larger corn pit, and more. Fairy Godmother Events will be on hand with characters including the Sanderson Sisters, Woody, Jessie, Jack Sparrow, and Jack Skellington. For safety reasons, there will be no hayride this year.
While supplies last, people can pick up one of the 4,000 free pumpkins at the Heart of Centerville Pumpkin Patch. Pumpkin Parking will be available so people can put their gourds away and go back to the fun. In addition, more than 100 vendors will take part in the fest.
Live entertainment is by REO Survivor and Co., a tribute band for Survivor, Loverboy, and REO Speedwagon. The performance by the tribute band will be preceded by Forte A Capella, Centerville High School’s group.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. The concert, which will take place at the Stubbs Park Amphitheater, is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Event organizers can use banner printing to create fun outdoor decorations for the venue.
