An upcoming event in Centerville will raise funds to support a little-known medical condition.
Shannon Wright, who is the owner of Wright Time, Wright Place Events, has organized the upcoming Rise of the Phoenix Charity Ball. The event offers people a chance to enjoy delicious food, entertainment, and dance, and take part in a silent auction. The auction will benefit the United Leukodystrophy Foundation (#ULF).
Leukodystrophy is a rare genetic disorder of the brain that affects the organ’s white matter, which protects and surrounds the central nervous system. There is currently no cure for the condition.
At 6.30 pm, the doors will open, and everyone will be asked to present their IDs, after which they will be given wristbands, which they are asked to wear throughout the evening.
A cash bar will be available beginning at 6.45 pm, and everyone will receive one ticket for a complimentary drink. After that, additional drinks and sodas may be purchased, water is free. Bids on the silent auction will be accepted until 10.15 pm, and the winners will be announced at 10.45 pm. The last dance is at 10.55 pm.
The Rise of the Phoenix Charity Ball is September 22, from 7.00 pm until 11.00 pm, at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace, located at 10000 Yankee Street in Centerville. The organizer of events like this can work with poster printing to create gorgeous advertisements about the evening.
