Centerville ready to run

The Centerville Noon Optimist Club will present the 2021 Up and Running Americana 5K Run/Walk next month.

This year, Centerville High School Stadium is the starting point for the race, located on East Franklin Street. It will use the customary city parade route, which takes runners past the middle school. Runners will return to Centerville High at that point.

Early bird pricing is available with a $5 discount through June 30. Registration is $25 and may be handled online via the event website or by going through the organizer. Those interested can download Forms for mail-in or drop them off in person at the Up and Running office located at 6123 Far hills Avenue in Dayton. The participation fee includes a moisture-wicking, high-quality T-shirt, which will be given to the first thousand registrants. Refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the race.

Banners are typically used at outdoor public running and walking events like this one. The banner printing can include directional information as well as sponsor recognition. Local Print shops can assist in creating Banners in a variety of colors and sizes.

The pre-registration packets may be picked up on July 2 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m, or July 3 from noon until 4:00 pm, at Up and Running. The race will take place on July 5. Parking is available at the high school and the stadium.
