Centerville looks for ghosts

The Friends of Washington-Centerville Public Library, along with the City of Centerville, will host an event that explores the haunted history of the area. Ghost Walk on Main is an annual event held in October that gathers tour groups together to walk, learn, and look over their shoulders for ghosts.

A guide will serve as the official storyteller, taking groups through the downtown area. There will be spooky stories to hear, refreshments and beverages to enjoy, historical re-enactments, and an opportunity to participate with friends and family in a fall event.

Proceeds from the Ghost Walk on Main will benefit the Friends of Washington-Centerville Public Library and Centerville-Washington History.

Posters are often used to highlight features of tours. The poster printing can include full color images and graphics, along with concise text. They can be placed on easels or hung on walls throughout the tour route.

Participants must be 21 or older and are encouraged to wear comfy shoes. The event will take place on Thursday, October 14 with tour times starting at 5:10 pm and running through 6:30 pm.

The tours will begin and end at Benham’s Grove located at 166 N. Main Street. Check in time is 10 minutes before the scheduled tour. The tickets are $25.00 per person and will go on sales on September 13. Ticket prices include swag Bags filled with goodies and complimentary refreshments.
