Enjoying music outdoors is a summer pastime in many communities, and now Centerville has announced its line-up for Summer 2023.
The June concert line-up comprises a mix of tribute bands. These acts give fans a chance to experience the thrill of seeing a band that, in some cases, no longer exists.
The concert series begins with Practically Petty, a tribute band to Tom Petty, his work with the Heartbreakers and his solo career, including his time with The Traveling Wilburys, a fantastic outfit that included Petty, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, and Bob Dylan.
After this is The Rock Show, who are a tribute band for Journey. Tommy K is the group’s frontman and impersonates Steve Perry. The other members are Chris Bartnikowski, Levi Goodwin, and Michael Hawkes.
The following week it is the turn of Hotel California, a tribute band to The Eagles, named for the iconic rockers’ biggest hit.
The concert series winds up with Motown Sounds of Touch, who have been bringing the Motown Sound to audiences around the country for 15 years.
Practically Petty appears June 4, The Rock Show on June 11, Hotel California on June 18, and Motown Sounds on June 25. All concerts start at 7:00 pm and are free of charge. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create a sign identifying the band.
