This November, the Smithtown Historical Society will present the Heritage Ball 2023 to celebrate the exemplary community leaders.
Founded in 1955, the Smithtown Historical Society’s mission is to preserve, restore, and interpret Long Island’s heritage, so that the public can appreciate and enjoy the area’s legacy. Society works to achieve this through conservation efforts, research, education, and community activities. Membership of the society is open to all community members.
Each year, the Society makes note of those individuals in the community who have gone above and beyond in their devotion to civic duties and their love of community, as well as those who have supported the organization’s mission of interpreting and preserving the town’s history and culture. The community members who will be honored are Donato Panico, Mark Delaney, and Town of Smithtown Highway Superintendent Robert Murphy.
