Smithtown to celebrate heritage at country fair

The Smithtown Historical Society will hold the Heritage Country Fair next month to celebrate the town’s cultural and historical legacy.

The Smithtown Historical Society is responsible for preserving and promoting the history, cultural artifacts, and historical structures of Long Island for current and future generations. These efforts include hosting workshops, tours, and special events. The Heritage Country Fair is one such event that occurs every year for the benefit of the community.

The fair will feature all manner of family-friendly fun, including children's activities, arts and crafts, and a large vendors’ market. There will also be a petting zoo to visit and pony rides to enjoy on the grounds of the historical society. The Island Long Riders Cowboy Mounted Shooting displays will also be a part of the festivities. Local food trucks will be set up to offer food and beverages for attendees. Attendees dressed in period garb will receive free admission.

To advertise in the wider community, organizers may decide to invest in poster printing to create eye-catching visual materials that can be hung in high-traffic area.

The Heritage Country Fair is scheduled for Sunday, September 15 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. The Smithtown Historical Society is located at 239 East Main Street. Tickets are $7 for general admission. Society members with their card pay a discounted price of $5.
