Smithtown nature center to hold photography workshop

Smithtown photography buffs should note that Sweet Briar Nature Center will hold an exclusive photography workshop next month.

Presented by Photo Art Pavilion, the workshop will take place at the Sweet Briar Nature Center, a private nonprofit that is housed on 54 acres and provides natural science education and native wildlife rehabilitation for Long Island. Appealing to nature and photography enthusiasts, the class will delve into techniques of how to capture wildlife shots.

Attendees of the workshop will have the chance to get a closer look at impressive birds of prey and observe the other interesting rescue creatures that call the center their temporary home. There will be miles of picturesque hiking trails to explore, both on foot and through the camera lens. The workshop will also include a visit to the center’s butterfly vivarium where attendees can flex their photo-taking skills by attempting to capture the wonders of butterflies. Organizers will provide a wholesome catered lunch for attendees as well.

Nature-related workshops are often advertised in park newsletters or Brochures, and event organizers may decide to use local brochure printing services to prepare these materials.

The Sweet Briar Nature Center Photography Workshop is scheduled for September 28 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Sweet Briar Nature Center is located on 62 Eckernkamp Drive. The workshop fee is $140.56 per person.
