The Famous Food Festival will be hosting an event in Deer Park with a variety of food options, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.
The summer festival is designed to be a community event and to highlight both new and well-known food vendors.
One of the highlights the event is the music. Different performers will be featured each day, and styles will range from classic rock to Billy Joel tributes to electric guitar. There will also be a cook-off on stage on Saturday between a team of firefighters and a precinct of cops.
Other activities will be available during the event, including a butterfly exhibit, virtual reality gaming, and contests and games. Vendors will be present with a variety of wares, not just food. Sponsors will also likely be in attendance, and may take advantage of banner or brochure printing to have information ready for attendees.
Food vendors will range widely, including everything from American and Italian, to Lebanese and Caribbean cuisines. General admission tickets include access to all the vendors and activities, while VIP tickets include swag Bags and free merchandise, a VIP seating area, a private VIP bar, and more. General admission and VIP admission are available in one or two day sets.
The festival will be held at TangerOutlets in Deer Park, which is a little over a 10-mile drive from Smithtown, and will take over the southeast parking lot. Famous Food Festival will be held next Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14.
