To start September, Corporate Fun Run will host the Long Island 5k, an event designed for companies and their employees in Smithtown and the greater Long Island area.
Corporate Fun Run is an event organization that hosts running events for companies and their employees. The only criterion for participants is that they must be actively working at their company for a minimum of 25 hours a week. Each company must register at least three employees to qualify as a racing team.
The Long Island 5k will be a trail run in Blydenburgh Park around the lake. Afterwards, there will be a post-race party set up in the picnic area with banquet tables and a hospitality tent. Organizers will provide free pizza and beer, but companies are welcome to bring their own food and beverages. Entertainment will include a DJ spinning tunes, and a photographer will also be present to take individual and team photos. Awards will be given out to both the fastest team and the fastest individual.
