Plant Nite event comes to Smithtown area

Smithtown residents hoping to hone their green thumb should note that Plant Nite: Make a Succulent Terrarium is happening at the local Carrabba’s in October.

Plant Nite, hosted by the special event company Yaymaker, will be a two-hour creative event that teaches attendees how to grow their own terrarium, succulent arrangement, or mini zen garden. The class will be led by experienced grower Melissa Kiesecker, who will also provide all the necessary supplies, such as plants, soil, and decorations. Participants will learn not only how to grow their mini gardens but also how to maintain them and ensure they flourish.

The event will occur at the local Carrabba’s Italian Grill, so attendees can enjoy a glass of wine or something to eat as they follow along in the class. The casual, fun atmosphere of the class makes this event accessible to a wide variety of occasions, including date night, girls’ night out, after-work happy hour, or even solo ventures.

Plant Nite will take place on Thursday, October 1 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite.com for $40 or on Yaymaker.com for $38. This class is open to only those 21 and up. For events such as this, businesses providing flyer printing are often used to help spread the word about event specifics and location.
