To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Holiday Celebration Gala & Silent Auction, the Long Island Museum is hosting a special exhibit. The exhibit is called ‘Silver Linings: Artists Search for Meaning’.
This exhibit opened on November 30, 2018, and will be continuing for a short while. It is currently on display in the Visitors Center. The focus of the exhibit has been finding the silver lining in art, and allowing artists and members to find meaning in different works of art.
The Long Island Museum is in Stony Brook, which is about a five-mile drive away from Smithtown. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday from noon to 5:00pm. For the duration of this special exhibit, guests can enjoy complimentary admission.
Events like this often use flyer printing to help advertise, as guests can take these home to remind themselves and spread the word, or Flyers could be mailed. The museum also has a broad range of other offerings for guests, hosting not only work of art but also gardens, historic buildings, and more.
The Long Island Museum has parking available nearby, and is already planning its next exhibits. This event will be ending next Sunday, January 27, along with the complimentary admission. More information can be found on the museum’s website.
