The Corporate FunRun Suffolk County 5K will be held in Smithtown this June to provide local businesses and their employees with an opportunity to bond over the challenge of running.
The Corporate FunRun series was founded in 2014, with over 850 companies participating in different running events throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast, and New York City area. The mission of these events is to boost employee engagement and teamwork, encourage workplace fitness at all levels, and provide fun socializing opportunities.
The Suffolk County run will take place at Blydenburgh Park, with the race path going through picnic areas one through six. The event will begin with the team packet pickup and company gathering before the run commences. There will also be a post-race awards party taking place at the picnic areas. There will be three different varieties of free beer, as well as free pizza and other treats. A DJ will be playing music, and a photographer will be on hand taking photos.

The 5K is scheduled for June 9 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Blydenburgh Park is located on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Smithtown. The registration fee is $44 per team member.
