Niche.com has released its annual public elementary schools ranking for the country as a whole, as well as per individual state, for 2016. Among the New York top 100 were 40 Long Island elementary schools, including each of Port Washington Union Free District’s five elementary schools.
This makes the second year in a row that all of Port Washington’s schools have found a place on the list. The schools, South Salem Elementary, Sousa Elementary, Manorhaven Elementary, Guggenheim Elementary, and Daly Elementary were ranked respectively in 58th, 62nd, 67th, 72nd, and 83rd position.
Realtors in Nassau County find the exceptional schools here make an excellent selling point for families looking to relocate to Long Island. When ordering advertising for residential properties, real estate agents will want their printing company to include the local school’s Niche.com ranking. Of the 40 Long Island elementary schools on the list, 34 were in Nassau County. Perhaps even more impressive is that the top three schools in New York State were all in Jericho School District.
Schools that rank high are those that have a diversity of high-achieving students and faculty, an exceptional academic record, and a happy, enthusiastic student body. The top spot in the country for elementary public education is in Short Hills, N.J. at Glenwood Elementary School.
