Port Washington locals should note that The Sands Point Conservancy will present the "Princess and Villains Day at the Castle" for a fairy-tale twist on the usual trick-or-treating events.
Built on the original Guggenheim estate, Sands Point Preserve is a sprawling 216-acre park that is operated by the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The estate houses grand historic mansions and elegant gardens, and the conservancy offers year-round mansion tours, educational and cultural programs, fitness activities, and special events such as the Princess and Villains Day.
The event will invite young attendees to the Hempstead House to meet 10 enchanting fantasy characters. These characters will be six popular princess characters plus their mischievous villain counterparts. These royal guests of honor will help young attendees decorate their own trick-or-treat Bags, which they will bring with them as they traverse each room in the magical castle, meeting beloved characters and gathering sweet treats.
Organizers of special events like this will often advertise their events on detailed Flyers, which can be printed at local Print shops offering flyer printing services.
The royal trick-or-treating event will take place on October 20, beginning at noon with three one-hour sessions to accommodate guests. Sands Point Preserve Conservancy is located at 127 Middle Neck Road, just minutes from Port Washington. Child tickets are $70, and the accompanying adult receives free admission.
