Next month, Growing Love Community Garden in Port Washington will hold the Rosé Soirée to raise money for the garden’s programs and continued operations.
Growing Love Community Garden is a nonprofit organization located within the Manorhaven Preserve. The community garden’s mission is to support communities wanting to grow, eat, and share their own food. The organization provides a supportive network for neighbors to share healthy gardening practices with each other and promote the wider preservation and beautification of the natural environment.
The Rosé Soirée, as the name implies, will be a festive gala revolving around the favorite wine of the summer, the rosé. Guests are invited to enjoy the peace and beauty of the gardens while they participate in the many festivities, including live music. There will be a wine stand to receive beverages, and the food will showcase farm-to-table cuisine. Attendees will even be able to participate in a plein air painting session. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards supporting the garden’s programs.

The Rosé Soirée will take place on Thursday, June 6 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Growing Love Community Garden can be found at Manorhaven Boulevard. General admission is $81.88.
