Next month, The Parent Resource Center (PRC) of Port Washington is holding what it hopes will be an annual event: a Kentucky Derby Party.
The Kentucky Derby is an annual race held in Louisville, Kentucky that has captured the attention of people across the country. This year, Port Washington is joining cities across the country in holding a traditional party in celebration of the competition, complete with mint juleps, Southern style food, bluegrass music, big hats, and a silent auction.
Capturing the attention of potential attendees of the First Annual Kentucky Derby Part put on by the PRC could most easily be accomplished with the assistance of a poster printing service.
The PRC of Port Washington welcomes everyone to come and celebrate the Derby and the mystique that has grown up around it. Proceeds from the gala event will be used to update the organization’s facilities and provide renovations. It is the hope that by modernizing its facilities, the PRC will remain relevant in the upcoming years.
The Port Washington Kentucky Derby party will take place Friday, April 24 at 7:30 pm at Manhasset Bay Yacht Club. Tickets are $100 per person if purchased in advance, or are $125 at the door. Attendees are reminded dress for the occasion; Derby hats and fascinators can be purchased through the PRC and prizes will be presented for the best hat and bow-tie.
