The Port Washington Friends of the Library are getting ready for their 47th Annual Book and Author Luncheon. The event gives residents the chance to meet two published authors and sit down with them to delve deeper into the process of their writing.
Two authors will be at the luncheon: Stacy Schiff and Garth Risk Halberg. Schiff is a Pulitzer Prize and George Washington Book Prize winner, as well as a biographer. She has written four Books to date, her latest being ‘The Witches: Salem, 1692’. Halberg, meanwhile, is a debut author whose novel is ‘City on Fire’. He has also written book reviews for the New York and Los Angeles Times.
The discussion will be moderated by Susan Isaacs, a novelist, screenwriter, and essayist who has published 13 books to date. She is the chairman of the organization Poets and Writers, as well as a member of the National Book Critics Circle.
To attend the event, interested parties must fill out reservation Brochures. Additionally, there is the option to become a sponsor of the event, which allows for businesses to add their name and Logo Design to the library newsletter and the signage at the event.
