Port Washington festival to celebrate Italian heritage

The John Michael Marino Lodge 1389, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, will host the annual Italian Festival in Port Washington this next weekend.

The festival celebrates the Italian heritage of the area and brings the community together in a fun, enriching, and family-friendly atmosphere. A significant share of the funds raised from ticket sales will go towards funding college scholarships for high school students in the area, as well as towards supporting Italian cultural activities, local charities, and youth sports leagues.

The festival will take place from Thursday to Sunday, with each day featuring exciting entertainment and activities. There will be carnival games, rides, and live performances from bands like the Liverpool Shuffle. Food tents will be set up to offer authentic Italian cuisine, and the famous pasta and pastry tents will be making an appearance once again. A fireworks display will be held Saturday night, while on Sunday, the Cadillac Guys Car Club will showcase its car collection.

Festivals like this will sometimes feature large, colorful Banners that add to the festive atmosphere, and organizers can get these printed and prepared at local Print shops specializing in banner printing services.

The Annual Italian Festival is slated for Thursday, September 5 through Sunday, September 8. It will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park, located at 175 West Shore Road.
