Port Washington festival to be a boatload of fun

Port Washington’s HarborFest Dock Day and Craft Fair will take place in June this year to showcase the town’s nautical and artisan heritage.

Organized by the Town of North Hempstead and the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, HarborFest serves as a celebration of the beautiful Manhasset Bay and the community’s vibrant nautical heritage. There will be various craft vendors present to highlight the local community artisans as well.

Nautical activities will include cruises along Manhasset Bay on the luxury yacht Elixir and sailing on the schooners, as well as fireboat demonstrations. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment at the iconic Tugboat, and families can participate in crafts, games, sports, and science activities at the Children’s Park. Art enthusiasts may be interested in Art in the Park and Port Washington: Through My Lens, a photography exhibit by Roy Schneider showcased at the Tugboat Museum. A food court offering a selection of Port Washington's best cuisine will also be available.

Local Print shops may see an influx of business in the months and weeks leading up to large-scale festivals such as this, as organizers will be busy creating and printing advertising materials.

The Port Washington festival is slated for Sunday, June 4 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will take place at the Town Dock, Manhasset Bay, and Lower Mainstreet. It is free to attend, with a fee for some activities.
