This May, Ripple Creative will host the All My Relations: A Growing Love Community Garden Benefit Featuring Will Evans to raise money for Port Washington’s community garden.
Ripple Creative is a grassroots initiative that organizes cultural events in support of small businesses, creatives, and community revitalization non-profits. The Growing Love Community Garden is located in the Manorhaven Preserve, an ecological preserve of Long Island. The garden was founded to help people work together to practice environmentally friendly gardening practices and produce healthy food.
The benefit concert will feature the music of multi-instrumentalist Will Evans, who is well known for his live looping, utilizing multiple instruments such as steel drums, didgeridoo, acoustic guitar, percussive beatboxing, and layered vocals. Art activities by Miss Sandrine and SoulShine will be available for attendees to participate in, and Ripple Creative will have a pop-up artisan market set up. Poetry buffs may enjoy Poetry on Demand by Poetry for Cowboys, and children may be entertained by the face painting and henna tattoo booths.
