Port Washington celebrates Italian fest

The John Michael Marino Lodge #1389 in Port Washington is putting together its 37th Annual Italian Festival. The five-day event combines great food, rides, and entertainment meant for people of all ages.

The authentic Italian menu is the heart of the event, and this year the Pasta Tent has prepared plenty of spaghetti, Bolognese, alfredo, and other signature dishes. Traditional carnival foods will also be sold and other food vendors will be in attendance.

The rides and attractions will be present every day of the event, and attendees can ride all day by purchasing a wristband. The price changes from day to day, and on Thursday visitors can get $3 off their ride pass by bringing Copies of the Flyers with them. Additionally, there will be carnival style games as well as games to play.

Entertainment will also be provided for every day of the festival. Piece of the Rock Band, Music Entertainment Express DJs, and Dolce Vita Music Entertainment will provide music, while Sunday will also have a 9/11 memorial, and Saturday will feature fireworks.

The Italian Festival will be held from September 8 to September 11 at North Hempstead Beach Park, located at 175 West Shore Road. Cost for admission varies from $15 to $30 depending on the day. Anyone interested in more information should contact the Marino Lodge directly.
