Next month, the Silver Gold and Basket Fundraiser will take place in the Great Neck and Port Washington area to raise money for charities benefiting children with cancer.
This year’s fundraiser will specifically aid St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with all proceeds raised from ticket sales and raffles going directly to the hospital. In previous years, this gala fundraiser has raised over $126,000 for various children’s cancer charities, and this year organizers hope for an even more impressive turnout.
The gala will feature a cocktail hour with a full bar where guests can mix and mingle, as well as a plated sit-down dinner showcasing the area’s local gourmet cuisine. There will be fun games for attendees too participate in, and there will be swag Bags given out and raffles and basket giveaways ongoing throughout the evening. Both the raffles and the basket giveaways will cost an additional fee to participate in.
Events involving giveaways may also rely on local sponsoring businesses to donate Promotional Products and prizes to be included in swag bags when handed out.
The gala fundraiser is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 8 from 7:00 pm to midnight. It will be held at Leonard's Palazzo located at 555 Northern Boulevard, Great Neck, just four miles from Port Washington. Tickets are $145.90 per person.
