The Queens County Farm Museum will be welcoming the cooler days of autumn with a fair that will blend traditional and modern county fair fun. With activities for all ages, the whole family can enjoy the event, and this Port Washington area celebration will run for just two days.
The museum, which offers a glimpse into the area’s history, will once again be hosting its Queens County Fair. It will also make the opening of the farm’s Amazing Maize Maze, and both child and adult tickets are available for purchase.
First held back in 1693, the fair will celebrate the area’s rich farming heritage. Pig races, corn husking and pie eating contests, hay rides, and a variety of carnival games will offer a taste of the past, while the beer garden, food vendors, Con Edison Ecology booth, and corn maze will have a modern flair.
Many local growers will have entries in the fair’s produce, arts and crafts, and livestock competitions, and blue ribbons will be awarded to the winners. Certificates for all the contestants can be prepared by Stationery printers for this sort of event, and they can be prepared so that they include the host’s Logo Design.
This year’s Queens County Fair will be held on September 21 and 22 at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway. Anyone who would like to know more details can find them on its internet listing.
