The 4th Annual Port Washington 5K Winter Run will take place next month to engage the community in a competitive yet fun running event.
The race will begin and finish in North Hempstead Beach Park, making a 3.1-mile loop as the route heads north and then south through the West Shore Road. Anyone aged 13 and up that can run a 5K in an hour will be able to participate. No roller skates, strollers, or dogs will be allowed on the course, and no cars will be able to leave until the race has finished.
There will be a post-race party for all participants in a tent that will be heated, and this is included in the registration fee. Family members and non-runner guests can attend for a $20 entrance fee. There will be food, and Greenport Harbor Brewing Company will provide a special small batch of beer, as well as several of its other popular brews.
All runners will receive a race packet, which includes a timing-chipped bib and a long-sleeved shirt featuring the event Logo Design. The top three overall runners and top female and male runners will receive awards, as well as the top three men and women in each age category.
The Port Washington 5K is slated for March 25, beginning at 9:00 am. North Hempstead Beach Park is located at 175 West Shore Road. Race registration is $60.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
