In September, Shining Studios Organization, Inc will host The Aegea Gala, a Greek-themed gala centered around music from ABBA and the musical Mamma Mia.
Founded in 2015, Shining Studios is a prominent theater school for children and teenagers in Nassau County. The theater puts on 10 full-scale productions a year and is focused on enriching and empowering youth through the performing arts. Due to COVID-19, the organization was forced to let go of its leased studio building, so the Aegea Gala will raise funds to secure a new building.
The gala’s main event will feature a 90-minute concert by cover band DANCING DREAM, who will play beloved music from the band ABBA and the musical Mamma Mia. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by a presentation and dinner honoring Kimberly and Darren Kimball for their dedicated support to Shining Studios. The gala will end with the concert and a dance party lead by DJ Spyro.
The Aegea Gala is scheduled for Friday, September 17, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It will take place at the Polish American Hall at 5 Pulaski Place, Port Washington. Tickets range in price from $75 to $5,000.
