Port Washington-based Modern Forms earned Best Booth Award at this year’s Lightfair International (LFI).
Held at New York City’s Jacob Javits Center, the world’s largest architectural and commercial lighting conference and trade show, Lightfair International, is a yearly event sponsored by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD).
Modern Forms, which maintains its corporate headquarters in Port Washington, has factories in New York, California, Ontario, and China. Its Best Booth Award was for an outstanding product presentation and visual display in the 400 to 500 square foot booth category.
According to President of Modern Forms Shelley Wald, the company’s booth drew lots of attention. Attendees frequently complimented the company's open style approach to displaying its eclectic mix of interior and exterior LED luminaires.
Thousands of people moved through the Jacob Javits Center seeking to experience the latest innovations in lighting technology, as well as design. The 2015 Lightfair International turned out to be the biggest LFI trade show to date. Wholesale and even retail lighting companies will want to include many of these items in their next batch of products sent to their catalog printing service.
