Cyclists or gym warriors who wants to raise some funds for a good cause may be interested in Cycle For Survival, which will soon be holding one of its first events.
The goal of the event is to raise funds that go towards researching treatments for rare cancers, such as ovarian, pancreatic, or brain cancer. Though these individually affect a small percentage of the population, as a whole they account for roughly half of all diagnoses.
Participants in the event will be creating teams that will have a four-hour time slot on a stationary bike at the Equinox Roslyn gym in Greenvale, New York. During that time, the team can switch between its members as each rides the bike. Riders and teams must get people to sponsor them so that they can raise funds for the research.
Promoters for this event may seek out printing companies to create Posters, Flyers, or other marketing materials for them. Distributing these items in nearby areas, like Port Washington, will foster more interest in the event and draw in more attendees or donors.
Cycle for Survival will take place on Saturday, February 21, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. All of the funds raised will go to research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. For those who cannot attend that day, there will be another event in March to look forward to.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters
