Crafty end to July

Summer is the season for street fairs, and Nassau County Craft Shows will be hosting a big one in Roslyn, New York in just over a week’s time.

The 5th Annual Street Fair on the Green will provide shoppers with the opportunity to purchase goods from some of the best local vendors and craftsmen on Long Island. Everyone in attendance can expect top quality handmade goods, and the sort of unique items you usually have to go to a street fair to find.

Nassau County Craft Shows was created by Alan Finchley, a veteran of the street fair industry. He has been working in the street fair world since 1976, and he has even taught college level courses on his craft at the State University of New York. His company has also made the commitment to donate some of their profits from this year to the Kiwanis charity to help support victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Promoters for this event may want to reach out to printing companies to create advertising materials for them. Posters hung in high foot-traffic places can attract attention to the event and make more people likely to attend. Similarly, Flyers handed out in nearby towns like Port Washington might generate more interest.

The fair will be held on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 with both days running from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event is free to attend and will be held at Christopher Morely Park.
