Craft festival to return to Port Washingtons harbor

The annual tradition of Harborfest will be returning to Port Washington this June, highlighting local craft vendors and artisans.

The event will include waterfront shopping from local vendors offering handmade art, craft items, gifts, clothing and other products. The festival also doubles as a Dock Day, with visitors will also be able to take a cruise around the harbor or explore in paddle boats. There will be activities for children as well as live music and other performances by area cultural groups, in an event that boasts of being the Port’s biggest of the year.

Harborfest is hosted by the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Town of North Hempstead, with the goal of highlighting local businesses and artists for both Port Washington residents and visitors from across Nassau County and beyond. Past editions of the festival have highlighted themes like nautical heritage and environmental awareness, a Fun Park for children, and free trolley and shuttle bus rides to the event. The Chamber will be using its Try Port First app to distribute information about this year’s event. Festivals like this also make use of tools like flyer printing and social media to help reach as many people as possible.

The 2025 Harborfest Dock Day & Craft Festival will take place on June 1 at the Town Dock in Port Washington.
