Charity event to raise money for Haiti cultural center

In the Great Neck area next month, CCCCHaiti will hold the Rising to the Challenge Fundraiser for the Cazale Community and Cultural Center (CCCC).

Leonard’s Palazzo will be the hosting venue, located in Great Neck, which is just five miles from Port Washington should locals also be interested in supporting the event. The Cazale Community and Cultural Center was founded by Soledad DesRuisseaux, a Haiti native who moved to New York in 1981. Soledad wanted to give back to Haiti by opening an after-school center and community space in Haiti where students could have a safe place with electricity to learn, study, and play. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards these afterschool programs.

The charity event will have a cocktail hour and open bar where guests and philanthropists can mix and mingle, and such activities also provide a good opportunity for the exchange of Business Cards and other promotional items. Dinner will also be served, and music by DJ SPARKX will be played. The fundraiser will also feature door prizes and raffles.

The fundraising event will take place on Friday, March 25 from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am. Leonard’s Palazzo is located on 555 Northern Boulevard. Pre-paid reservations are required to attend. General admission is $110 per person, with table bundles running from $1,050 to $1,250.
