Bestselling author Michael Lewis will be appearing in Port Washington this April, aiming to promote his newest book.
Lewis will be discussing his latest Work Who is Government, a collection of essays about the role of public servants and their experiences. In addition to Lewis’s own writing, the book contains essays by authors like Dave Eggers, Sarah Vowell, and W. Kamau Bell. Lewis will be in conversation with Long Island native, investor and business writer Barry Ritholtz. The discussion will be followed by a question-and-answer session with audience members. Attendees will receive a signed copy of Who is Government along with their ticket, provided through Locust Valley Bookstore.
The talk will touch on the author’s experience and motivation in writing the book. Lewis is one of the best-selling nonfiction authors in America today, with past Books like Moneyball, The Big Short and The Blind Side being made into major motion pictures. Authors in all genres often use signing events like this to interact with established fans as well as find new readers, sometimes using Promotional Products such as bookmarks. The Lewis talk is hosted in association with the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce.
The “Michael Lewis: Who is Government?” event will take place on the evening of April 7 at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater in the Landmark on Main Street development.
