The Village of Mamaroneck will be testing locals’ connection with their community this August when they hold a special Survey Showdown game.
The game is part of Mamaroneck’s Outdoor Game Night series, which aims to provide family-friendly fun in the summer. The audience will be surveyed for their answers to a variety of opinion and word-association questions, and contestants will then be asked to guess the most popular answers. The individual and team who best matches the audience will receive points.
Contestants will be selected randomly from the audience and will compete both in individual “Face-Off” rounds and as a team. The team that racks up the most points throughout multiple rounds will be crowned the winner. Food trucks will be available to provide refreshments throughout the games.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their friends and families and cheer on the on-stage contestants. Community events like this often mimic the format of popular game shows and use flyer printing and social media to help draw in participants and bring the community together. The game is part of the Department of Recreation’s summer programming, which includes outdoor movies, day camps, concerts and more.
Outdoor Game Night: Survey Showdown will take place on the evening of August 15 at Lanza Field in Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. Attendance will be free for all.
