Mamaroneck outdoor movie series to return

The Village of Mamaroneck will be bringing back its Outdoor Movie Night series this summer, aiming to bring together families under the stars.

The series will include five nights with different movies and themes, including recent animated releases Zootopia 2 and Hoppers. The live-action Lilo and Stitch will be shown as part of a “Tiki Party” themed night, with tropical clothing and refreshments encouraged. The series will also include historic blockbuster Jaws, with an “on the beach” theme to enhance the mood.

The series will conclude in September with a showing of the recently released Secret Mario Galaxy Movie, featuring a Family Camp theme. The two special nights will have rain dates in case of inclement weather. Each movie night will have food trucks offering popcorn and other snacks and drinks. Family attendees are encouraged to spread out with blankets and lawn chairs before the movie starts at dusk.

The movie nights are among the events Mamaroneck has planned to encourage outdoor activity and community during the summer month. The summer uses flyer printing and web outreach to help attract viewers. The advertising encourages families to:

“Enjoy a fun-filled summer of free movies under the stars, with films starting at dusk, food trucks on site, and something for everyone to enjoy.”

The 2026 Outdoor Movie Nights series will take place at Harbor Island Park on select dates from June 20 to September 12.
