The Village of Mamaroneck will be holding its annual Turkey Trot & Gobbler Race this November, marking the 59th edition of the Thanksgiving race.
The event will begin with a one-mile Gobbler Race, aimed at those looking for a shorter distance, and follow with the full five-kilometre Turkey Trot across a simple cross-country course. The run has been a staple of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck community, with last year’s event drawing over 1400 participants. The run welcomes both casual and competitive runners, with the fastest finishers recognized afterwards,
All runners will receive a race package including a free t0shirt and medal. Races and other athletic events like this often provide Promotional Products and other mementos to help participants commemorate the occasion and raise awareness for future installments.
In addition to boosting fitness ahead of a season of feasting, the Turkey Trot is also typically associated with charity. Runners can raise money for a charity of their choice from friends and family, and contribute to an online leaderboard. Many runners, especially Mamaroneck High Students, raise money for the Students for Senegal Club, supporting educational programs in West Africa. Last year’s event raised over $17, 000 for this cause, alongside other donations.
The 2025 Mamaroneck Turkey Trot and Gobbler Race will take place on the morning of November 23 at Harbor Island Park. Online registration is required in advance.
