Mamaroneck area book festival to return

After its inaugural edition, the Westchester Book Festival is back for a second chapter this November, looking to treat readers from Westchester County areas like Mamaroneck.

The festival will include talks from many popular contemporary authors of both fiction and non-fiction. Featured authors include non-fiction bestsellers like Malcolm Gladwell and Elizabeth Kolbert, as well as literary novelists like Hernan Diaz and Kevin Powers. There will be two events in each of four timeslots, often with multiple authors in conversation with each other or joined by an interlocutor.

For those looking to discover a new favourite, there will be the free Authors’ Corner readings provided by Westchester natives, including towns like Mamaroneck and White Plains. These readings will be hosted in the Katonah Reading Room, a picturesque local bookstore and coffee shop. Attendees can also meet and greet with the writers.

The Festival will also include a number of local events and promotions hosted around the town. This will include additional author talks and signings as well as a bookmaking workshop, book club wine tasting, a poetry seminar, and more. Modern authors often use printing services for bookmaking and literary promotion for greater control over the publishing process.

The 2026 Westchester County Book Festival will be on Saturday, November 7 at the Katonah Village Library, Katonah Presbyterian Church, and other locations in Katonah, New York.
