The Ladies of Laughter comedy event will be coming to Mamaroneck this November, featuring a line-up full of up-and-coming female comedians.
The tour stems from the annual Ladies of Laughter competition, which aims to find the best undiscovered stand-ups from across America and beyond, with prizes for both professionals and newcomers. The Mamaroneck event will include two of 2024’s national finalists in New York-based Alysa Brown and Shivani Dave, who has toured across the country and opened for famed comedian Dave Attell. Other performers include Newcomer runner-up Nancy O’Connor, past finalist and veteran comedienne Lisa Perlman, and Emily Azrael. Each of the five women will be providing their own award-recognized stand-up sets, finding the humour in a wide variety of topics.
The performance will be kicking off a nationwide tour featuring talent from the Ladies of Laughter competition that will visit various historical venues, including the Prince George Comedy Club in Maryland and the South Orange Performing Arts Centre. This will include a return visit to Mamaroneck on February 1, 2025, with a celebration of Black History Month including the Newcomer competition winner Ruthy Ferrera. Comedy shows like this often use methods like flyer printing and social media to help attract viewers.
The Ladies of Laughter tour will appear at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck on the evening of November 2.
